Super Eagles great, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has indicated that he is expecting an exciting encounter between Nigeria and Ghana in the 2025 Unity Cup.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana will renew their rivalry in May during this year’s Unity Cup, scheduled to be played in London.
According to Jay-Jay Okocha, the upcoming encounter between the West African giants will be a good one.
“I mean it is always a good match to watch. It is always a health rivalry so I am expecting it to be a good game, and a good banter before and after the game and if we have to involve Jollof rice, we will,” Okocha told Joy Sports.
The Super Eagles legend continued, “There are a lot of things to talk about, but for me it is always a healthy rivalry.”
Ghana and Nigeria are two of the four countries that will participate in the 2025 Unity Cup.
The other two are Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
At the Unity Cup, Nigeria’s Super Eagles are scheduled to face off with the Black Stars of Ghana at the Gtech Stadium on May 28.
