UAE First Division newcomers United have secured the signing of Moroccan striker Mehdi Mouhoub after beating competition from Raja Casablanca for the forward’s services during the summer transfer window.

The Emirati club has reached a final agreement to bring in the 22-year-old from Russian side Dynamo Moscow, according to reports from UAE newspaper Saddad.

Mouhoub is expected to join United on loan initially, with an option included for the club to make the move permanent at the end of the agreement.

Raja Casablanca miss out on former striker

The Moroccan forward had attracted interest from several clubs during the current transfer window, with Raja Casablanca among the teams hoping to secure his return.

However, United moved quickly to complete negotiations and secure the services of the talented attacker as they prepare for their first campaign after promotion.

Mouhoub’s arrival is expected to strengthen the Emirati club’s attacking options as they aim to compete in the UAE First Division.

Dynamo Moscow hold Mouhoub contract

The striker remains under contract with Dynamo Moscow until June 30, 2029, meaning United had to negotiate with the Russian club to complete the deal.

Mouhoub joined Dynamo Moscow in August 2024 from Raja Casablanca after an impressive spell with the Moroccan giants.

During his time with Raja, he helped the club win both the Moroccan league title and the Throne Cup, establishing himself as one of the country’s promising young forwards.

New chapter for Moroccan striker

The move to the UAE represents another stage in Mouhoub’s career as he looks to continue his development away from Russia.

For United, signing a Moroccan forward with experience in domestic and European football represents a significant statement as the newly promoted side prepares for the challenges ahead.
