The future of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech remains unresolved, with competing clubs in Qatar eyeing a potential deal to secure the services of the Galatasaray midfielder. Despite ongoing discussions, no definitive agreement has been reached, leaving Ziyech’s next move in the balance.

Speaking to Le Site Info, Khalid Al Mas, a member of the Al Arabi club committee, hinted at the potential of signing Ziyech but remained tight-lipped about any concrete developments.

“No team would refuse a player of Hakim Ziyech’s caliber,” Al Mas said, underscoring the player’s undeniable talent.

However, he refrained from elaborating on the progress of the talks, noting that the club’s focus remains on acquiring top-level talent to bolster their ambitions.

Ziyech, who joined Turkish giants Galatasaray last season, has struggled for game time under head coach Okan Buruk.

The 30-year-old has found himself relegated to the bench for much of the season, prompting growing speculation that his time in Istanbul may be coming to an end.

Reports have indicated that Ziyech is seeking a way out of the club, with the Qatari league emerging as a likely destination.

Al Arabi and Al Gharafa, two of Qatar’s leading clubs, have emerged as the frontrunners to secure Ziyech’s signature.

Both teams are reportedly locked in a battle to land the talented midfielder, whose creativity and technical ability could provide a significant boost to their respective squads.

Al Arabi, who have been keen to strengthen their roster ahead of the upcoming season, see Ziyech as a valuable addition in their quest for domestic and international success.

While Al Mas did not divulge details about any potential deal, it is clear that the club has its sights set on recruiting high-profile players capable of leading them to silverware.

Meanwhile, Al Gharafa have also expressed a strong interest in the Moroccan playmaker.

The club has been active in the transfer market, successfully bringing in Spanish striker Joselu from Real Madrid, and they are now targeting Ziyech as part of their broader strategy to attract marquee players to the Qatari league.

For Galatasaray, parting ways with Ziyech could be a necessary move.

Following the recent acquisition of Nigerian star striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli, the club is eager to balance its books and create financial flexibility for future transfers.

Offloading Ziyech would not only free up resources but also allow the Turkish side to focus on integrating Osimhen into their squad as they prepare for the second half of the season.

While both Qatari clubs remain eager to bring Ziyech to the Gulf region, the situation remains fluid, with no official confirmation on where the midfielder will end up.

The 2024 January transfer window is fast approaching, and with it, the potential for Ziyech to finally resolve his uncertain future.

As negotiations continue, football fans across Europe and the Middle East are closely watching the developments.

Ziyech’s future could represent a major shift in his career, as well as signal the growing influence of the Qatari league in attracting top international talent.

For now, however, the saga surrounding Hakim Ziyech’s next move remains unresolved, leaving fans and pundits alike waiting for the final word on his destination.
