Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq has addressed speculation linking him with a return to former club Almeria.
After a standout two-year tenure with the Spanish side, during which he netted 40 goals in 79 league appearances, Sadiq transferred to Real Sociedad in 2022.
However, his time at Sociedad has been marked by challenges, including a season-long injury and limited playing opportunities.
Recent reports suggest the 26-year-old could rejoin Almeria, a possibility Sadiq did not dismiss outright.
“With Almeria, it’s always a pleasure.
We never know what the future holds,” Sadiq told Tribal Football. “I don’t know.
Let’s see what happens in the future,” he added.
Sadiq remains a beloved figure at Almeria, where his prolific scoring played a critical role in the team’s success.
Whether a return materializes remains to be seen, but the forward’s comments have sparked excitement among fans of the Andalusian club.
At Real Sociedad, Sadiq continues to work toward reclaiming full fitness and earning a regular place in the lineup, even as speculation about his future lingers.
