Ulrich Nnomo: French-Cameroonian striker joins AER Afantou on free transfer
French-Cameroonian centre-forward Ulrich Nnomo has joined Greek club AER Afantou from Egaleo on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old completed the move on 7 September 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Nnomo becomes part of AER Afantou’s attacking options after leaving Egaleo, where he had spent the previous part of his career.
Nnomo has built his career across clubs in France, England, Portugal, Malta and Greece. Before moving to AER Afantou, he played for Egaleo, having joined the club from Ilioupoli in January 2025, also on a free transfer.
His career includes 101 appearances in Greece’s Super League 2, with 13 goals and 10 assists. He has also recorded 43 appearances and five goals in Ligue 3, while his other experience includes spells in the Premier League, Ligue 2, the Football League and League Two.
The forward began his senior career with Chateauroux B before progressing to LB Chateauroux. He moved to Leyton Orient in 2016 and later continued his career with Gil Vicente, Panserraikos, Levadiakos, Apollon Pontos and Valletta.
Nnomo’s most productive recorded return came in the Football League, where he scored six goals in 16 appearances. He also found the net twice in three National 2 appearances and scored twice in seven Coupe de France matches.
The forward is listed at 1.79m and is right-footed. His move to AER Afantou is the latest in a series of free transfers during a career that has taken him between several European leagues.
AER Afantou have secured Nnomo’s services without a transfer fee, with the player now contracted to the Greek club until the end of June 2027.
