UKRAINE: SENEGALESE PAPA GUEYE DEPRIVED OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!

Papa Gueye, the Senegalese international defender playing for Metalist Kharkiv in Ukraine, may miss the European Cup this season. UEFA has disqualified Metalist Kharkiv due to their involvement in a match-fixing affair in 2008. This decision prevents Gueye and his team from participating in the Champions League. The club has the option to appeal to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport). UEFA will announce the consequences of this decision shortly.
