Kitara FC announce ticket prices for Al Ahly clash

Ugandan side Kitara FC have announced ticket prices for their CAF Confederation Cup encounter against Egyptian giants Al Ahly, with the club preparing to welcome the African heavyweights to Hoima City Stadium on Saturday, October 17.

The match, scheduled to kick off at 4:00 pm local time, will serve as the first leg of the second preliminary round, with Kitara hoping to take advantage of home support to secure a positive result ahead of the return fixture in Egypt.

In a statement published on the club’s official page, Kitara confirmed that tickets would be available for purchase electronically and through designated sales outlets.

The club has set the price of regular tickets at 20,000 Ugandan shillings, approximately US$5, while VIP tickets will cost 100,000 Ugandan shillings, equivalent to roughly US$27.

Supporters can purchase tickets from Kitara’s main office on Hoima Main Street, opposite Standard Bank, as well as the club’s office in the Kenobi area, opposite St. Patrick’s Primary School.

The announcement comes as Kitara intensify preparations for one of the biggest fixtures in the club’s continental campaign. Facing Al Ahly, one of Africa’s most successful clubs, presents a significant challenge for the Ugandan outfit, who will be eager to make home advantage count.

Kitara will also draw confidence from their recent domestic form after recording a 2-1 victory over Kataka in the sixth round of the 2026/27 Ugandan Premier League. The result marked their second consecutive victory and provided a timely boost ahead of the continental showdown.

The Ugandan side will be hoping to carry that momentum into Saturday’s encounter as they seek to frustrate their more experienced opponents and give themselves a realistic chance of progressing to the next stage.

For Al Ahly, the trip to Uganda represents the beginning of their latest continental assignment, with the Egyptian giants expected to target a favourable first-leg result before the return meeting.

The two sides are scheduled to meet again on October 25, when the tie will be decided in the second leg.

With Kitara enjoying a positive run of results domestically, the home side will be determined to deliver a strong performance in front of their supporters, while Al Ahly will look to draw on their continental experience to navigate a potentially difficult away fixture.
