DR Congo trail Uganda 1-0 at half-time in their first friendly match, played behind closed doors at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium.
The Cranes made the stronger start and took the lead in the seventh minute. Bogere finished Uganda’s first clear opportunity after a swift attack caught the DR Congo defence off guard.
The Leopards showed some response as the half progressed and tried to impose themselves on the match, but they lacked the required accuracy in the final third to level the score before the break.
DR Congo’s coaching staff now have 15 minutes to make the tactical adjustments needed to change the course of the second half.
