Dominique Mendy initiated the scoring as early as the 2nd minute, while Talla Ndiaye extended the lead at the commencement of the second half. The Lions concluded the group stage with a formidable 9 points. Meanwhile, Togo, vying for a third-place finish, rebounded admirably after an initial setback.
