UFOA-B U17 Women’s Cup: Burkina Faso respond with victory over Cote d’Ivoire

Burkina Faso revived their UFOA-B U17 Women’s Cup campaign with a 1-0 win against Cote d’Ivoire in Yamoussoukro on Friday, 18 September 2026.

The Etalons had begun the competition with a heavy 4-0 defeat by Ghana, but recovered to claim their first points of the tournament against their West African rivals.

Charifatou Soulgani scored the only goal of the match, securing victory for Burkina Faso and giving the side a positive response after their opening loss.

The tournament is now being played as a single group of six teams, with each national side scheduled to play five matches.
