The UFOA B tournament (Union of West African Federations) is set to feature nine teams, including Zimbabwe, in its 2013 edition. Zimbabwe’s participation was confirmed in a letter from Aka Malan, the Secretary General of UFOA B, to ZIFA (Zimbabwe Football Association). The tournament, contested by players from local championships, provides preparation for teams qualified for CHAN (African Nations Championship). In addition to Zimbabwe, Mauritania has also been invited to participate. Out of the seven countries in zone B, Ghana, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso are set to participate in CHAN. The UFOA B tournament was initially scheduled for October 24 to November 3, 2013, but it will now start on November 21.
