UEFA Nations League 2026-27: fixtures, groups and dates for every match

The fifth edition of the UEFA Nations League will take place in 2026-27, with the opening group matches scheduled for 24-26 September 2026.

The competition was introduced to replace many international friendlies with more meaningful matches between European nations. UEFA is hoping to build on the success of the first four editions and establish the tournament alongside Europe’s major international competitions.

League A groups

Group A contains Belgium, France, Turkiye and Italy. Belgium and France lead the table after wins over Italy and Turkiye respectively, while Turkiye defeated France 1-0 and Italy beat Belgium 2-0 in the opening round listed.

Group B features Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and Serbia. Greece are top, with Germany and the Netherlands level behind them, while Serbia are fourth.

Spain, Croatia, England and Czechia make up Group C. Spain and Croatia are joint leaders, while England and Czechia are yet to record a win.

Group D consists of Norway, Portugal, Denmark and Wales. Norway top the section, ahead of Portugal, with Denmark and Wales below them.

The opening League A results included Netherlands 1-1 Germany, Serbia 2-1 Greece, Portugal 0-1 Wales and Norway 2-3 Denmark. Further fixtures include England v Spain at Wembley on 26 September, Belgium v France on 28 September and Spain v Croatia on 29 September.

Leagues B, C and D

League B Group A comprises Switzerland, Scotland, Slovenia and North Macedonia. Northern Ireland, Ukraine, Georgia and Hungary are in Group B, while Austria, Kosovo, Ireland and Israel form Group C. Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland and Romania are in Group D.

League C Group A includes Finland, Albania, Belarus and San Marino. Armenia, Montenegro, Cyprus and Latvia are in Group B, with Slovakia, Kazakhstan, the Faroe Islands and Moldova in Group C. Group D contains Luxembourg, Estonia, Iceland and Bulgaria.

League D has two groups: Malta, Gibraltar and Andorra in Group A; and Lithuania, Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein in Group B.

The first listed League B results were Kosovo 0-1 Ireland, Austria 1-3 Israel, Georgia 1-0 Northern Ireland, Hungary 1-0 Ukraine, Poland 0-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Sweden 1-2 Romania. In League C, Armenia lost 0-2 to Latvia and Montenegro were beaten 1-2 by Cyprus. League D began with Liechtenstein 2-0 Lithuania and Andorra 2-1 Malta.

Previous winners

Portugal won the inaugural edition in 2019 by beating the Netherlands 1-0 in the final. France defeated Spain 2-1 to claim the 2021 title, before Spain beat Croatia on penalties after a goalless final in 2023.

Portugal won the 2025 edition against Spain on penalties. Portugal therefore have two titles, Spain and France have one each, while the Netherlands and Croatia have each finished runners-up once. Portugal’s titles came in 2019 and 2025, Spain’s in 2023, and France’s in 2021.
