Udon United bring in Nigeria winger Ademola Sodiq Adeyemi on free transfer
Nigeria winger Ademola Sodiq Adeyemi has joined Udon United from Thonburi Utd. on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old left-sided attacker completed the move on 30 August 2026 and has agreed a contract with Udon United until 30 June 2027. Adeyemi, who favours his right foot, becomes the latest addition to the Thai club’s attacking options.
Adeyemi arrives after one season with Thonburi Utd., having also made his previous move without a transfer fee. He joined Thonburi from Kabin Utd. on 30 June 2025, continuing a sequence of free transfers that has marked his career in Thailand.
The winger began that period with Kasem Bundit, joining the club from Fleet FC in March 2024. He had moved to Fleet from Bethel Sporting in December 2022. His switch to Udon United therefore represents his fifth club move since arriving at Bethel Sporting.
Adeyemi has been used primarily as a left winger. He stands 1.77m tall and was born on 15 February 2002. His nationality is Nigerian.
His recent competitive record includes six appearances in the Thai League 3 Champions League, where he scored twice and supplied one assist. He also made two appearances in the Thai Cup and recorded one assist.
Those performances provide the immediate sporting context for Udon United’s decision to bring him into their squad. Adeyemi’s experience across several Thai clubs gives him familiarity with the country’s football environment, while his ability to play from the left adds a defined role to his new team’s attack.
The move also extends a career that has so far been built through successive free transfers. After starting at Bethel Sporting, Adeyemi moved to Fleet FC, then Kasem Bundit and Kabin Utd., before joining Thonburi.
Udon United have secured the Nigerian forward without paying a transfer fee, with the agreement running for the remainder of the 2026-27 season and into June 2027. Adeyemi is now a Udon United player.
