Ghana international Thomas Partey has rallied his Arsenal teammates to head into their second leg meeting against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League with the mentality to secure victory.
The Black Stars’ midfield enforcer was unplayable last Tuesday when the Gunners hammered the record champions 3-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brentford on Saturday, Thomas Partey urged his teammates to go into the second leg with the mentality to win again.
“I think we’ve experienced this many times when we play here and I think it’s not going to be something different. We just have to be confident with the ball and try to play our game.
“We all know what we have to do. We have to go there with the mentality to win. We want to win every game. And I think we have to play our game, be confident with the ball and also try to find our weaknesses and keep attacking them,” Thomas Partey said.
The quarter-final second leg showdown between Real Madrid and Arsenal is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, in Spain.
The much-anticipated encounter will kick off at 7 pm at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
