UCL: Nicolas Jackson scores to seal Bayern Munich’s dominant 4-0 win against Club Brugge
Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson climbed off the bench on Wednesday night to score for Bayern Munich in their 4-0 mauling of Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League.
Bayern took control early in the match. Lennart Karl opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a brilliant first touch to control a killer pass on the edge of the box before firing into the roof of the net.
In the 14th minute, Konrad Laimer produced a sweet pass to pick out Harry Kane inside the box, and the English forward made no mistake, sending the ball into the middle of the net to make it 2-0.
Luis Diaz added a third in the 34th minute after controlling the ball on the edge of the box from a superb low pass by Laimer. He created space for himself and unleashed a stunning strike that hit the underside of the bar before going in.
In the 79th minute, Nicolas Jackson made his mark. After a rebound fell to him in the box, he fired low into the middle of the goal to complete the 4-0 triumph.
Bayern’s commanding performance reinforced their status as strong contenders in the competition.
The German champions are now on a three-game winning run in the UEFA Champions League.
