UCL: Mohammed Kudus on target as Tottenham thump Slavia Prague 3-0
Ghana international Mohammed Kudus was on target as Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash.
The scoring began in the 26th minute with an unfortunate own goal from David Zima, who misdirected a header from a corner past his own goalkeeper to give Spurs the lead.
Tottenham doubled their advantage early in the second half when referee Benoit Bastien, after a VAR review, awarded a penalty. Kudus calmly converted from the spot in the 50th minute, sending the ball down the middle past the outstretched arms of Jindrich Stanek.
The victory was sealed in the 79th minute when Xavi Simons stepped up for another penalty. Although Stanek managed to get a hand to the effort, he could not prevent it from finding the bottom right corner, completing a dominant performance for Spurs.
The win means Tottenham Hotspur have won consecutive games, scoring five goals in the period and keepin clean sheets in both games.
