UCL: ‘It will be huge, special’ – Jonathan Tah geared up for Bayern Munich’s showdown with Arsenal
German defender of Ivorian descent, Jonathan Tah, is upbeat ahead of Bayern Munich’s encounter against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League this week.
The Bundesliga champions are travelling to England to take on the English Premier League outfit on Wednesday, November 26.
Speaking after helping Bayern Munich thump SC Freiburg 6-2 in the German Bundesliga on Saturday, Tah praised the team spirit in camp, stressing that it gives the team confidence heading into the huge and special game against Arsenal.
“Of course, we weren’t happy with the situation after going down 0-2. We knew we had to step it up a gear or two. And we did that quickly.”
“Then we had the right energy level. We know that we can turn a game around at any time. We also have the team spirit and cohesion for it. We need to be more attentive as a team on set pieces.
“The anticipation for the game at Arsenal is huge, it’s something special. We’re going into it with full confidence and want to get the three points. It will be a very attractive game,” Tah said.
The UEFA Champions League match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich is scheduled to kick off at 20:00GMT on Wednesday.
