UCL: Bayer Leverkusen preparing for Sparta Prague clash without Victor Boniface
German champions, Bayer Leverkusen are preparing for their Uefa Champions League clash against Sparta Prague in midweek without Nigerian striker Victor Boniface.
Manager Xabi Alonso confirmed this on Tuesday during his pre-match interview ahead of the game against the Czech side on Wednesday, January 29.
In the interview, the Bayer Leverkusen manager hinted at the interest from Saudi side Al Nassr to sign Victor Boniface, explaining that it is why his team is preparing for the next game without the striker.
“There is this situation and I understand that. There are discussions with the club. We have to wait. We’re preparing for the game without Boni of course,” Alonso said.
The match between Bayer Leverkusen and Sparta Prague will kick off at 8 pm at the Bay Arena on Wednesday.
Even without Victor Boniface, the German Champions are confident of victory.
