UAE outfit Ajman Club extend Walid Azaro contract until 2028
Ajman Club have announced the renewal of Moroccan striker Walid Azaro for two additional seasons, keeping him at the UAE Pro League side until the summer of 2028.
The extension highlights the club’s confidence in the experienced forward, who has established himself as one of Ajman’s most influential foreign players in recent years.
Azaro, now 30, joined the “Orange” club in January 2022 on a free transfer from Al-Ettifaq FC and has since become a central figure in the team’s attacking setup.
Since arriving in the UAE, the Moroccan international has made 114 appearances in the UAE Pro League, scoring 47 goals to become the highest-scoring Moroccan player in the history of the competition.
His consistent performances and leadership in attack have played a major role in Ajman’s competitiveness over the past few seasons.
Ajman team manager Mohammed Hussein confirmed that negotiations over the contract renewal progressed smoothly, stressing that the mutual desire between both parties made it easy to reach a quick agreement.
Speaking to Al-Ittihad newspaper, Hussein explained that Azaro chose to remain with Ajman despite receiving interest from other clubs, largely because of the strong technical environment and personal comfort he enjoys at the club.
He added that the Moroccan striker remains one of the key pillars of the squad heading into next season due to his vast experience, goalscoring quality and influence both on and off the pitch.
Azaro’s renewal represents a major boost for Ajman as the club looks to build on recent progress and maintain stability around one of its most reliable attacking stars.
