Head coach of Ghana’s Black Satellites, Desmond Ofei, has revealed what his team needs to do to be successful at the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The coach and his team have already arrived in Egypt, awaiting the start of the tournament on April 27.
Speaking to CAFOnline, Ghana Coach Desmond Ofei stressed that his team will need to stay focused and be consistent with their performance if they want to succeed at the tournament.
According to him, this is the only way the Black Satellites can qualify for the U20 World Cup and stand a chance of clinching the U20 AFCON trophy.
“Our immediate goal is to get out of the group stage. From there, we take it one step at a time. Of course, the long-term aim is to win the tournament and qualify for the U-20 World Cup, but we’ll do that by staying consistent and focused on the process,” Coach Desmond Ofei said.
Ghana at the U20 AFCON will compete with defending champions Senegal, as well as DR Congo and Central Africa Republic in the group stage.
