The head coach of Ghana’s Black Satellites, Desmond Ofei has named his squad for the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The announcement comes just 24 hours before the team’s first match of the campaign against DR Congo in Group C.
That encounter is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 GMT on Friday, May 2.
The Black Satellites are currently based at the Green House Hotel in Suez, a coastal city known for the historic Suez Canal.
The team has wrapped up its final preparations and is fully focused on delivering a strong start to the tournament.
At this year’s U20 AFCON, Ghana will be aiming to clinch a fifth continental title. Ghana’s performance in this year’s edition will be closely watched, as the nation continues to nurture the next generation of footballing talent on the continental stage.
Friday’s much-awaited clash against DR Congo in Group C will be played at the Suez Stadium in Egypt.
Subsequently, the Black Satellites will play against Senegal and the Central African Republic in Group C.
