The draw for the Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates has been made, with four African teams from the CAN U-17 tournament held in Morocco earlier this year representing the continent. The participating African teams and their respective groups are as follows:
- Group B: Ivory Coast (alongside Uruguay, New Zealand, and Italy).
- Group F: Nigeria (alongside Mexico, Iraq, and Sweden).
- Group C: Morocco (alongside Croatia, Panama, and Uzbekistan).
- Group D: Tunisia (alongside Venezuela, Russia, and Japan).
The Under-17 World Cup is scheduled to take place from October 17 to November 8 in various cities across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Sharjah. The tournament’s mascot is a falcon named Shaqran.
