Ghana U-17 Impresses with Away Win Over Cameroon in CAN Qualifiers
Ghana’s youth football continues to shine, as their U-17 team secured a vital 2–1 away victory against Cameroon in Yaoundé on Saturday in the third and final qualifying round for the 2015 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Niger.
The Ghanaians struck twice in the first half through Ernest Agyiri (31’) and Jonah Ossabutey (40’), establishing a strong lead. Cameroon responded just before halftime with a goal from Martin Hongla Yma, but the second half saw no further goals.
With this result, Ghana heads into the return leg with a valuable advantage as they aim to secure a spot in the continental tournament.
