Türkiye: Mbia Scores as Trabzonspor Falls to Burkinabé Nakoulma

**Trabzonspor Suffer Fourth Defeat as Mbia Scores Late Consolation**

Trabzonspor continued their disappointing start to the Turkish Super Lig season, falling 3-2 to Mersin on Monday in the eighth round of fixtures.

Cameroon captain Stéphane Mbia and his side struggled to contain Mersin’s attack, with Burkina Faso international Préjuce Nacoulma scoring twice in the first half (26th and 40th minutes) to give the visitors a commanding lead. Wederson added a third for Mersin before Trabzonspor responded late in the game.

Paraguayan striker Oscar Cardozo pulled one back for Trabzonspor, and Mbia himself scored a stoppage-time goal in the 95th minute, providing only a consolation as the match ended 3-2.

The result leaves Trabzonspor in 11th place in the league table, while Mersin remain in the relegation zone, 17th.
