Turkish side Rizespor reach agreement to sign Zimbabwe defender Teenage Hadebe
Turkish outfit Rizespor are on the brink of securing the signature of Zimbabwe international defender Teenage Hadebe.
Hadebe’s potential switch to Rizespor will mark the return of the 29-year-old experienced defender to Turkey, having previously featured for Konyaspor in previous years.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender is reportedly keen about a return to Europe despite having a running contract with Major League Soccer outfit Cincinnati. His current contract with the club is expected to elapse in December 2025.
Hadebe rejoined Cincinnati in August 2024 after parting ways with Konyaspor. After 21 matches in the United States, the defender is set to depart for a new challenge, with Rizespor on the cards
Rizespor are said to have reached an agreement with Cincinnati for the signing of Hadebe on a transfer fee worth €2.5 million.
The 29-year-old defender is expected to sign a three-year contract with his new club. It’s worth noting that Hadebe is already familiar with Turkish football. After his stint with Kaizer Chiefs, he played for Yeni Malatyaspor and last year made 12 appearances for Konyaspor.
