Turkish giants Galatasaray have reached an agreement in principle to secure the services of German-Senegalese winger Leroy Sane this summer.
Sane is expected to depart Bayern Munich at the end of the month as a free agent after failing to sign a new deal with the club.
Despite his inclusion in Bayern’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup, the enterprising will part ways with the German outfit at the end of the tournament.
Bayern and Sané failed to reach an agreement on a new contract, as all of the club’s offers were rejected by the player’s camp.
Despite interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs, Galatasaray have won the race to secure the services of the attacker. The Turkish champions has already reach verbal agreement, and negotiations are now underway to finalize the details of the deal.
Sané was demanding a salary of around 20 million euros from Bayern, but the German giants could only offer him about 15 million euros.
The 29-year-old former Manchester City winger made 30 appearances in the just ended Bundesliga campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists.
