Turkish giants Galatasaray have expressed serious interest in Ghana international Mohammed Salisu in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Galatasaray are keen on bolstering their squad for the new campaign, and Salisu, who is considering AS Monaco departure has emerged as a priority target.
The Black Stars defender has grown frustrated at Monaco, having made just 24 appearances across competitions for the French club last campaign. He was mostly used as a back-up option under manager Adi Hutter in the just ended season.
Salisu has attracted a strong interest from Galatasaray, who are poised to snap up the Ghanaian defender.
Salisu joined Monaco in summer 2023 signing a five-year deal with the Principality club.
The former Southampton centre-back endured a difficult spell in his spell at Monaco due to multiple injuries. He became prominent at the start of last season, however, at the end of the campaign, he had been pigeon-holed as a backup option.
The arrival of Eric Dier at Monaco threatens Salisu fate at the French Ligue 1 outfit, prompting his decision to look elsewhere.
Aside Galatasaray, Salisu is courting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and England, with former club Southampton no an exception.
Meanwhile, Monaco are not willing to do a deal for anything less than €15m.
