Kader Mangane Undergoes Surgery, Out for the Rest of the Season
Bad news confirmed for Kader Mangane. The French-Senegalese central defender has undergone surgery for a ruptured medial cruciate ligament in his right knee, sustained on December 14.
The operation was successfully performed this Wednesday in Lyon by Professor Sonnery-Cottet. Mangane, who currently plays for Kayseri Erciyesspor in Turkey and has previously featured for Lens and Rennes, will be sidelined until the end of the season.
He is expected to remain in France for his rehabilitation, rather than returning to Turkey. A tough blow for both the player and his club.
