The Turin Marathon featured a remarkable performance from Kenyan runner Sharon Cherop, who set a women’s record with a time of 2 hours, 23 minutes, and 57 seconds. Cherop, the last winner of the Boston Marathon, secured a convincing victory, outpacing Dutch-Kenyan athlete Hilda Kibet, who finished in 2 hours and 25 minutes. The men’s race saw Patrick Terer claim victory in his debut over the marathon distance, completing the course in 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 34 seconds. Terer had a comfortable lead over second-place finisher Daniel Rono (2h 11’40”) and third-place finisher Jackson Kirwa (2h 13’29”).
