Tunisian winger Khalil Ayari switches PSG for Ligue 2 loan with Dunkerque

Tunisian winger Khalil Ayari has joined USL Dunkerque from Paris St-Germain on loan, completing a move that keeps the 21-year-old in France for the 2026-27 season.

Ayari’s loan runs until 30 June 2027, with the right-sided attacker entering the campaign as a Dunkerque player in Ligue 2. He will return to PSG at the end of the agreement.

Born in Tunis, Ayari is a left-footed right winger who stands 1.74m tall. He came through the youth system at Stade Tunisien before moving into the senior side, and was part of the club’s Tunisian Cup-winning team in the 2023-24 season.

PSG signed Ayari from Stade Tunisien on 1 July 2026. His move to the Paris club followed an earlier loan spell with Paris SG Under-23s during the 2025-26 season, before he returned to Stade Tunisien at the end of that arrangement.

Ayari has experience in Ligue 1, recording 19 appearances and two goals in the competition. He also featured in the Ligue I Pro Playoff, Tunisian Cup, CAF Confederation Cup and Tunisian Super Cup during his career.

His record includes one goal in three Tunisian Super Cup appearances and one in four outings in the Premier League International Cup Under-21 competition. Across his senior career, he has represented Stade Tunisien and PSG’s Under-23 side before moving to Dunkerque.

The transfer gives Ayari another spell in French football after his previous season with PSG’s development team. His new club, USL Dunkerque, will have him registered for the 2026-27 campaign, while his PSG contract remains in place beyond the loan.

Ayari’s arrival also marks the latest stage of a rapid progression from Tunisian domestic football to France. He spent the 2025-26 season moving between Stade Tunisien and PSG’s Under-23s before securing a place in Dunkerque’s squad.

The 21-year-old has now completed his loan move from PSG to USL Dunkerque, with the agreement lasting until 30 June 2027.
