Tunisian talent Khalil Ayari bids emotional farewell to Stade Tunisien ahead of PSG move

Tunisian midfielder Khalil Ayari has confirmed he is leaving Stade Tunisien after a successful trial with Paris Saint-Germain, posting a heartfelt message on Instagram to thank the club that nurtured his career.

The 20-year-old left-footer, widely regarded as one of the country’s most promising young players, will now link up with the French champions after impressing during his stint in Paris.

Ayari described his departure as a deeply emotional moment, recalling the formative years he spent at Stade Tunisien.

“I am writing you this letter with my heart full of love, pride, and gratitude. Since I took my first steps in football, this club has been my home, where I learned the meaning of respect, hard work, and determination to achieve dreams,” he wrote to his followers.

He also paid tribute to the coaches and teammates who helped shape his development, crediting them for his rise through the ranks.

“I will never forget the coaches who honed my talent, gave me confidence, and taught me everything. Thanks to all of them. And also to all my fellow players who shared my joys and sorrows — we experienced a lot of sweetness and bitterness together,” he added.

Although Ayari did not explicitly name Paris Saint-Germain in his message, he confirmed he was embarking on a “new stage” of his career with a “great club” and expressed pride at the opportunity ahead.

“…Today, it is time to move on to a new stage of my career. I am proud to be a member of this great club, and I will always be grateful for what it has given me…” he wrote.

Ayari’s move to PSG marks a major milestone in his young career and highlights the continued strength of Tunisia’s player development pipeline.
