Tunisian outfit Al Afriqi Derna SC cut ties with Nigeria forward Kingsley Edo by mutual termination

Tunisian club, Al Afriqi Derna SC have parted ways with Nigeria striker Kingsley Edo by a mutual termination.

Edo has been heavily criticized since last season following an unimpressive performance, hence the decision to sever ties.

The forward, who was close to leaving last summer, was out of the plans at the club, leading to his departure in the winter window.

Edo is now a free agent and is expected to find himself a new club before the January transfer window is shut. He waived $90,000 as an outstanding dues before departing the club.

Meanwhile, Al-Afriqi seeks to strengthen its ranks with a new striker in the recently opened January window as they seek to compete in the Tunisian top-flight.
