Tunisian midfielder Wajdi Issaoui leaves Esperance Tunis Under-21s

Tunisian midfielder Wajdi Issaoui has left Esperance Tunis Under-21s and is now without a club after completing his move away from the Tunisian side on 14 September 2026.

The 21-year-old central midfielder departs after returning to Esperance Tunis Under-21s from a loan spell with AS Soliman. Issaoui joined AS Soliman on loan in September 2025 before returning to Esperance at the end of June 2026.

Issaoui made nine Ligue 1 appearances during his career, playing 526 minutes in the competition. He also featured twice in the Tunisian Cup and scored once, with his two cup appearances accounting for 165 minutes.

His time with Esperance Tunis included a Tunisian Cup triumph in the 2024-25 season. That remains the midfielder’s recorded senior honour as he moves on from the club’s Under-21 setup.

Issaoui was born on 8 January 2005 and plays in central midfield. He represented Esperance Tunis Under-21s after his temporary transfer to AS Soliman, returning to the club before departing in September 2026.

The move brings an end to Issaoui’s recorded spell with Esperance Tunis Under-21s, with the Tunisia midfielder now without a club.
