Naji Al-Juini, the general supervisor of the refereeing sector at the Tunisian Football Federation, has delivered a powerful message to clubs following recent objections to referees’ decisions as the league’s final phase kicks off.
Al-Juini addressed the official Twitter account of the Tunisian Football Federation, stating: “Clubs’ interference in referee appointments is a very strange phenomenon… What has happened amounts to a campaign against referees.”
He firmly expressed his rejection of intervention in these appointments, urging clubs not to succumb to various refereeing analysis narratives.
Al-Juini extended his gratitude to “assistant referees, VAR referees, and field referees,” urging them to maintain the same level of performance in the upcoming period.
It is worth noting that Club Africain expressed displeasure over the appointment of referee Saif Al-Wartani to officiate their match against Union Sportive Monastirienne, citing insufficient experience as the reason.
