The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has officially opened the race for its 2025-2029 leadership term.
In a press release issued late Wednesday, the FTF announced that applications for candidacies will begin on Thursday, December 26, marking a pivotal step in reshaping its governance.
The elections, scheduled for January 25, 2025, will conclude the transitional phase managed by FIFA’s appointed Normalization Committee since last August. The extraordinary general assembly will elect a new federal office to guide Tunisian football into its next era.
This development follows last Saturday’s extraordinary meeting, during which amendments to the FTF statutes and electoral code were approved. The press release serves as a formal invitation to national and regional leagues, along with all affiliated clubs for the 2024/2025 season, to participate in the assembly.
Candidates must submit their applications by January 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. GMT. Voting will proceed by list, underscoring a collective approach to leadership selection. The general assembly’s proceedings will also commence at 11:00 a.m. GMT on election day, heralding a new chapter for Tunisian football.
