The Tunisian Football Federation has officially opened the door for aspiring coaches interested in taking charge of the national team, Les Aigles de Carthage.
In an official statement released via its official channels, the Tunisian Football Federation announced the formation of a committee comprising Belhassen Malouche, Mokhtar Dhouib, Najib Ghamidi, Khaled Badra, and Emad Ben Younes.
This committee is tasked with reviewing the applications of candidates vying to lead the Tunisian national team, succeeding Jalal Kadri, who was relieved of his duties following the team’s elimination in the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Jalal Kadri, the head coach of the Tunisian national team, had declared his departure from Les Aigles de Carthage after their exit from the Africa Cup of Nations.
This decision was particularly significant as the contractual agreement between him and the Tunisian Football Federation stipulated that the contract would conclude should the team fail to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
During a press conference ahead of Tunisia’s match against South Africa, Kadri stated, “I will leave the Tunisian national team because these are the terms of the contract between us.
If we do not succeed in reaching the semi-finals, the contract between the two parties will terminate.”
