Reports circulating in the media linked the name of Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi, the coach of the Royal Armed Forces football team, to taking charge of the technical helm for the Tunisian national team in the near future, replacing former coach Jalal Kaderi.
“Hesport” reached out to a reliable source close to the Tunisian Football Federation, which debunked the news, affirming no contact between the federation officials and the military team’s coach has occurred so far.
The same source clarified that the Tunisian Football Federation has decided to form a committee comprising former players, in addition to the Coaches’ Union, to determine the identity of the upcoming coach for the Tunisian national team.
It emphasized that this committee has not been formed yet, indicating there is no communication with the Royal Armed Forces coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Nasreddine Nabi is considered one of Tunisia’s prominent coaches, having achieved positive results in coaching through various experiences in recent years.
This has led some to speculate about the possibility of him coaching the “Carthage Eagles.”
The Tunisian Football Federation officially announced the termination of Jalal Kaderi’s contract a few days ago, following the early exit of the “Carthage Eagles” from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Tunisia finished fourth in Group F with only two points, losing to Namibia and drawing with both Mali and South Africa, resulting in their premature departure from the continental tournament.
