Tunisian Cup: Espérance to face Wided Hamma on March 29 after  fixture rescheduled

The Tunisian Football Federation has confirmed that the postponed Tunisian Cup fixture between Wided Hamma and Espérance de Tunis will now be played on Sunday, 29 March.

The match, which forms the final tie of the round of 32, had initially been delayed due to Espérance’s involvement in the CAF Champions League.

The scheduling conflict required the fixture to be moved, leaving it as the last remaining match at this stage of the competition.

According to the federation’s announcement, the game will take place at the Hamma stadium, with kick-off set for 13:30 local time.

The revised date ensures the completion of the round before the competition progresses to the next phase.

Espérance de Tunis, one of the country’s most prominent clubs, had been unable to fulfil the original fixture due to their continental commitments.

Their participation in the CAF Champions League necessitated a change, prompting organisers to reschedule the tie in order to accommodate both competitions.

The encounter will determine which of the two sides advances to the round of 16, adding significance to a match already shaped by its delayed timing.

With the rest of the round of 32 fixtures concluded, attention will now turn to this final meeting to complete the line-up for the next stage.

For Wided Hamma, the match presents an opportunity to compete against one of Tunisia’s most established teams, while Espérance will aim to progress and maintain their pursuit of the domestic cup title.

The announcement brings clarity to the fixture schedule, confirming both the date and venue after earlier uncertainty caused by the postponement.

As a result, both teams can now prepare with a clear timeline ahead of the decisive cup encounter.
