Tunisian Cup Fixture Postponed: CA Bizertin vs Stade Gabèsien Moved to May 18

The highly anticipated Tunisian Cup round of 16 clash between CA Bizertin and Stade Gabèsien will not be played as originally scheduled this weekend. The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has approved a request to postpone the match, citing CA Bizertin’s recent involvement in continental competition.

Officials from CA Bizertin (CAB) requested the delay due to their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup, which left the squad with insufficient recovery time ahead of the domestic cup tie. Acknowledging the demands of a congested schedule, the FTF granted the postponement and rescheduled the match for May 18.

The rest of the round of 16 fixtures will proceed as planned, meaning the postponed match will be the last to be played at this stage of the tournament.

The delay gives CAB an opportunity to regroup and focus on their continued campaign in both domestic and African competitions, while Stade Gabèsien will have to wait a little longer to try and book their place in the quarter-finals.
