Tunisia striker Seifeddine Jaziri becomes a free agent after leaving Zamalek

Tunisia centre-forward Seifeddine Jaziri has left Egyptian champions Zamalek on a free transfer, bringing his time with the Cairo club to an end on 3 August 2026.

The 33-year-old joined Zamalek from fellow Egyptian side El Mokawloon in October 2021 for €660,000, having initially moved between the two clubs on loan earlier that year. He made his mark during a spell in which Zamalek won three Egyptian league titles, two Egyptian Cups, the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Super Cup.

Jaziri was part of Zamalek’s Egyptian championship-winning squad in the 2025-26 season. His honours with the club also include the 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup and the 2024-25 CAF Super Cup, while his two Egyptian Cup victories came in 2020-21 and 2024-25.

Across his career, the Tunisian forward has made 190 Premier League appearances and scored 53 goals, providing 23 assists. He has also recorded 12 goals in 34 CAF Confederation Cup matches and five goals in 18 Egyptian Cup appearances.

Jaziri began his senior career with Club Africain, where he won the Tunisian league in 2014-15 and the Tunisian Cup in 2016-17. He later spent time on loan at CS Hammam-Lif and US Ben Guerdane before moving to Tanta SC in 2017. A free transfer to Stade Gabesien followed in 2018, before his switch to El Mokawloon the following year.

The striker has also finished as the leading scorer in the Egyptian Cup and FIFA Arab Cup, scoring four goals in each competition during the 2022-23 and 2020-21 campaigns respectively.

Jaziri, a right-footed forward born in Tunis, now leaves Zamalek without a new club after completing his free transfer away from the Egyptian side.
