The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia have wasted no time in preparing for their upcoming AFCON 2025 qualifier, having arrived in El Jadida, Morocco, on Friday. The team quickly settled into their base and immediately began training, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining their strong start in the qualification campaign.

Just a day after their victory over Madagascar, the Tunisian national team, led by coach Faouzi Benzarti, departed from Tunis-Carthage airport at 11:30 GMT.

After a brief flight, they touched down in Casablanca at 15:00 GMT. From there, the squad embarked on a road journey to El Jadida, approximately 100 kilometers from Casablanca, where they will remain for the next phase of their preparations.

Despite the relatively short and manageable journey, the Tunisian technical staff opted not to let the players rest on their laurels.

Shortly after their arrival, the squad was put through a warm-up session at 18:30 GMT, underscoring their focus on maintaining peak physical condition ahead of their next challenge.

Training Intensifies Ahead of Gambia Clash

Saturday’s schedule includes a more intense training session at 15:00 GMT on the pitch of the Ben M’Hamed El Abdi stadium, the venue for their upcoming match against Gambia.

This session is crucial as it will allow the team to acclimate to the conditions they will face in Sunday’s fixture.

Tunisia is set to host Gambia on Sunday, September 8, in what will be their second match of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.

Due to the absence of a CAF-approved stadium in Gambia, the match will take place in El Jadida, adding a unique twist to the encounter.

Tunisia’s Strong Start in Group A

Tunisia’s victory over Madagascar on Thursday has given them an early advantage in Group A, positioning them as the team to beat.

The Carthage Eagles are determined to build on this momentum and secure another win to solidify their place at the top of the group.

As the team gears up for the clash with Gambia, the focus remains on maintaining their high standards and executing Benzarti’s strategies effectively.

The players are well aware of the importance of this match, not just for their standing in the group but also for setting the tone for the remainder of their qualification campaign.

With the eyes of their nation upon them, the Carthage Eagles are committed to delivering a performance that will bring them one step closer to securing their place in the AFCON 2025 tournament.

Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely as Tunisia continues its journey towards continental glory.
