The Parliament’s Committee on Education, Vocational Training, Scientific Research, Youth, and Sports convened on Thursday, January 25, 2024, to endorse the modified draft law on combating doping in sports, Bill No. 59/2023.

During the session, the committee examined a letter dated January 24, 2024, from the Minister of Youth and Sports.
The letter concerned the approval of the amended draft law, along with a request to rephrase the first paragraph of Article 21 to align perfectly with the current global anti-doping code.
The committee readily consented to the proposed modification, reaching unanimous approval for the amended draft law in its entirety.
Following this crucial decision, the committee proceeded to present a detailed report on the legislation.
Some formulations were refined based on the feedback from members of parliament, resulting in the committee’s unanimous endorsement of the amended law.
