The National Professional Football League has officially unveiled the full schedule for the opening round of matches in the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season, with all fixtures set to kick off over the weekend of 9–10 August.
Four matches will take place on Saturday, 9 August, all scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. local time start.
Club Africain will begin their campaign against AS Marsa, while JS Kairouanaise face off with AS Soliman.
AS Gabés are set to take on giants Espérance de Tunis in a highly anticipated clash, and ES Métlaoui will meet Bizertin Athletic Club in what promises to be an intense opening encounter.
The action continues on Sunday, 10 August, with four more matches also kicking off at 4:30 p.m. US Monastirienne will welcome Tunisian Stadium, while US Ben Guerdane host Béja Olympic.
Club Sportif Sfaxien will begin their season against Espérance de Zarzis, and JS Omrane face a stern challenge as they take on Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
The league has confirmed that Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology will not be in use during the opening stages of the new season.
This temporary absence of VAR is expected to place increased pressure on on-field officials as they navigate tight calls without technological assistance.
The 2025–2026 campaign promises fresh intrigue, as promoted clubs look to stake their claim and established sides aim to lay down an early marker.
With eight fixtures spread across the two days and a series of compelling matchups, supporters can look forward to a lively start to the domestic calendar.
