Tunisia Prepare for AFCON Qualifier Against Djibouti Amid Injury Concerns
The Carthage Eagles will begin their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign this Friday with a home fixture against Djibouti in Radès. The Group A match marks an important step for Tunisia as they seek to advance alongside rivals Togo and Liberia.
However, coach Georges Leekens faces squad selection challenges ahead of the game. Mohamed Methnani will miss the match due to an ankle injury, further complicating Leekens’ preparations.
The Belgian coach will also be without key players including Iffa, Moncer, Nagguez, Mathlouthi, and Nater, leaving the team to adapt without several regular starters.
Despite these absences, Tunisia remain confident of starting their qualifying journey with a strong performance at home.
