Tunisia midfielder Fehmi Kacem joins Al-Ansar FC from Abu Salim

Tunisia attacking midfielder Fehmi Kacem has joined Lebanese Premier League club Al-Ansar FC from Abu Salim.

The 32-year-old completed the move on 14 September 2026 after one season with the Libyan club. No transfer fee has been disclosed.

Kacem, who plays primarily in an attacking midfield role, began his senior career with Tunisia’s ES Sahel after progressing from the club’s under-19 side. He spent time on loan at US Monastir and Stade Tunisien before returning to ES Sahel, where he was part of the squad that won the Tunisian championship in the 2015-16 season.

The left-footed midfielder later moved to AS Gabes and then spent periods with Al-Orobah, CA Bizertin, Al-Nahdah FC, ES Metlaoui, Al-Zulfi and Arar FC. Several of those transfers were completed as free moves, including his switch from Al-Nahdah to Abu Salim in September 2025.

Kacem’s most recent club campaign came with Abu Salim, following his arrival from Al-Nahdah. His career record includes 86 Ligue 1 appearances, with 11 goals and 10 assists, as well as 15 appearances and two goals in the Libyan Premier League. He has also made seven Tunisian Cup appearances, scoring once.

He joins Al-Ansar with experience across Tunisia, Libya and Saudi Arabia, having played in the Saudi First Division League during his time with Al-Orobah. His arrival gives the Lebanese club an attacking midfielder with a long record of domestic football in North Africa and the wider region.

Kacem was born in Ksar Hellal on 13 April 1994 and stands 1.75 metres tall. His highest recorded market value was €350,000, while his current valuation is €75,000.

The move continues a sequence of club changes for Kacem, who has switched sides in each of the past four seasons. He now begins the next chapter of his career with Al-Ansar in Lebanon.
