TUNISIA-IRAN MATCH: OUSSAMA DARRAGI REUNITES WITH THE EAGLES OF CARTHAGE
Oussama Darragi is set to make his comeback to the national team during the friendly match between Tunisia and Iran, scheduled for August 15, 2012, in Budapest.
Having been absent from the Tunisian national team since March of that year, the former Esperance de Tunis attacking midfielder has been included in the 22-player squad selected by coach Sami Trabelsi.
Darragi, who moved from Esperance de Tunis to FC Sion, had been sidelined from the Eagles of Carthage due to a lack of playing time at Esperance following the announcement of his transfer to Switzerland.
Darragi earned his first national team call-up on September 6, 2009, during the qualification matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
With 28 appearances and 6 goals for the Carthage Eagles, he brings experience to the team.
The friendly against Iran is part of the preparation for the Sierra Leone vs. Tunisia match, a crucial fixture in the third and final qualifying round for the 2013 African Cup of Nations set to take place in South Africa.
