FIFA to Fund New Hotel for Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles Under Goal 6 Project
A major infrastructure boost is on the way for Tunisian football. As part of FIFA’s Goal 6 project, a dedicated hotel for the Carthage Eagles national teams will soon be built in Tunisia. The initiative is aimed at enhancing training and accommodation facilities for the country’s national squads.
The project took a significant step forward after FIFA responded positively to a formal request from the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF), submitted on June 9, 2014. During a subsequent visit to FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich on September 22, 2014, by FTF President Wadie Jary and Vice President Maher Snoussi, the plan gained further momentum.
Following their visit, FIFA’s Development Committee, in its meeting on September 24, approved a $500,000 USD allocation to fund the hotel’s construction.
This upcoming facility is expected to provide a professional environment for national teams’ preparation and recovery—marking a significant milestone in Tunisia’s football development efforts.
