Tunisia Call Up Fakhreddine Ben Youssef Ahead of Belgium Friendly
Tunisia’s coach Georges Leekens has named Club Sportif Sfaxien forward Fakhreddine Ben Youssef in his squad for the upcoming friendly against Belgium, despite being without key players from Etoile Sportive du Sahel, Espérance Sportive de Tunis, and Sportif Sfaxien.
Ben Youssef, who is suspended for his club’s Champions League group stage match against Espérance Sportive de Tunis, is now available to join the Carthage Eagles as they prepare for their high-profile encounter with the Belgian national team.
The friendly is scheduled for June 7 in Belgium, with kickoff set for 6:45 p.m. local time. Prior to the match, Tunisia will hold a training camp beginning on June 2 to fine-tune their preparations for the World Cup.
Leekens’ squad faces challenges with the absence of several players due to club commitments, but the inclusion of Ben Youssef offers a timely boost as Tunisia aims to build momentum ahead of their World Cup campaign in Brazil.
