Berekum Chelsea has reason to rejoice as the Ghanaian club emerged victorious from the dispute with Esperance de Tunis.
Following the transfer of their player, Emmanuel Clottey, to the Tunisian club, Berekum found themselves deprived of their rightful compensation. Taking the matter to FIFA, the governing body of world football, proved fruitful as FIFA ruled in favor of Berekum, ordering Esperance to pay them €1.4 million.
Emmanuel Clottey, who currently plays for the Emirati team Al Dhafra, was loaned out by Esperance due to underwhelming performances since his arrival in Tunis back in September 2012.
