Dismissed from his position at Olympique de Marseille last December, Elie Baup is currently without a contract. The former coach of Toulouse and Nantes has been linked with taking charge of the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
However, according to reports from the Tunisian press, Baup’s name is also being considered by the Football Federation.
Since the departure of Ruud Krol following the elimination against Cameroon in the play-off matches for the 2014 World Cup, the Carthage Eagles have been without a coach.
Elie Baup has never managed an African team before, so this would mark his first experience with an African national team. The French technician began his coaching career in 1982.
